It all started on one cold, I dont know what day of the week night when our hero was warming himself by his computer screen. The window was broken and bare allowing all manner of evil freezing gusts to blow in. With numb fingers he was browsing the deviant universe through his eye to the world, his computer. Upon landing on a particular page as they are known, he was awed by was his saw there and that when that burning desire seered his heart and sparked the quest to create his avatar.....2 days later a blank flash document lay on his desktop, vary eyes watching it. It had been 2 days since the awakening and things had slowed down.... more like frozen in their tracks. The tools were ready(flash 8)but desire had dimmed with the vanishing of all creative thoughts. So was the story for the next few weeks as our hero wandered from place to place, world to world,page to page looking for anything that would guide him to who knew where.Then it came that one day while lounging at his room at some random inn after hours of playing P.O.P.2 he found his hand on his mouse and drew a line. A single line.
After staring at it fore few more minute ideas rushed in to his head and our hero began to draw like a mad man. Nothing could stop him, all he could see were the lines and colors taking form on screen, all he could hear were Lady muses words, loud in his head.
A sudden silence.....
It was completed.
Making sure to hit save, our hero sat back to look over his work. ME a robotic thing like creture who had joined him on his quest at some forgotten time and had been an almost no help at all look at this creation and proposed a very good question.
"Are you going to animate it."
A good question indeed and as our sat back, he that it was a question best answered after lunch,his brain had already shutdown.
After a crappy lunch at the school food dump he sat down to animate with all his might. The lightin effects, flashes, mask effects,glitter and shiny stuff were all worthless,a huge failure especially after exporting to gif(flash NOT SUPPORTED,WWWWWWHHHHHHYYYYYYYY).Anyway he just had to settle for a well done wind in hair effect and moving stuff in the background. So disappointing!
One would think that it was over he had finally succeeded in his long quest.BUT NO there was still the size issue,50K just 50K was too big.On went image ready and after going no where fast he discovered that during exporting the number of frames had been quadrupled. Not caring why set out to fix the problem. After getting nowhere with I.R. he took the path to GIMP to find a solution which practically jumped up and bit him on the *&^%)(. Anyway the size was down to 12K.
Leaning back with a truimphant sigh...it was over, the weeks of nothing, the hour+ of work was over. Nothing can beat that feeling nor the one he got after uploading it.FInally ending the quest.Or untill he needs a new one.
